Dear Participant,

For those of you coming to the Super VOSS meeting at the “Istituto il Carmelo” in Sassone, 21-26 June. I am sending important information.

How to get to Sassone

Fiumicino and Ciampino airports serve the Rome's area. Ciampino is closer and it is good for flights in Europe. Soon I will be sending directions to arrive to Sassone.

Room Reservations

The conference will be held at the “Istituto il Carmelo” in Sassone. I have made a reservation for number of rooms from Sunday 21 June in the evening to Saturday 27 June in the morning. Though the website is in Italian you can have an idea of the place visiting their website http://www.ilcarmelo-sassone.it/

Since we received some funds for the conference we have offered partial financial support for those of you who have asked for. In addition we those funds we will partial cover the lodging expenses for all participants.

There are 40 single rooms and 70 double rooms reserved.

A single room including breakfast, lunch, and dinner is 45 EUR per day. If a double room is used for only one person you pay 55 EUR.

Thanks to the financial support we are able to give you the rooms for the following prices.

A person in a single room for the whole stay including meals —› 200 EUR

A person in a double room used as a single room (including meals) for the whole stay —› 250 EUR

Two people in a double room (including meals) for the whole stay —› 400 EUR.

To make sure that we have a room for you, please send as soon as possible an email to Federico Balzoni (fbalzoni@specola.va) giving him the dates of your arrival and departure.

PAYMENT

The payment of the lodging can be done only by cash in EUROS

VISA

If you need a visa to enter Italy, I strongly recommend that you start the process now. Please let me know if you need a letter. It will help, if you send me an email saying that you have initiated the process indicating the city and the country of the consulate.

Finally I would like to remind you that the deadline for registering is 15 March. By the end of March we absolutely need a realistic number of participants to arrange the room reservations, etc. If you are registered and for any reason you cannot come, please let us know as soon as possible.
